  • Jevon Ng

    Jevon Ng is a co-founder of Here With You and a social worker at Here With You Social Services. He began his journey serving migrant workers in 2013, when he first discovered the challenges migrant workers faced while exploring social justice in Singapore. He started volunteering to assist unpaid migrant workers count their salaries before taking on a full-time casework position at HOME where he began working with migrant workers in groups. He is trained in both Psychological First Aid and Suicide First Aid Trained.

    He believes in the importance of participation in practising social justice.

    Odelia Lee

    Odelia is a co-founder of Here With You Social Services. Since 2020, Odelia has been involved in supporting migrants’ psycho-social needs through the Migrants’ Helpline. What began as a response to crisis has grown into something far beyond what she had envisioned at the start. Engaging directly with migrant workers, listening to their stories, and witnessing their resilience has been a meaningful experience for her.

    Through Here With You, she hopes to foster greater awareness and empathy towards migrant workers. She envisions policies that prioritize their well-being and promote inclusive social integration, and the cultivation of a community where migrant workers are respected and valued for the contributions they make to our society.

    Moneem Ahmed

    Moneem was one of the first few volunteers on the Here With You – Migrants’ Helpline interpreting for migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. He believes in helping migrant workers in Singapore feel welcome and supported. Growing up in Singapore as a Bengali immigrant himself, he is able to employ his cultural experiences to help bridge the gap between two worlds.

    As a tech consultant with Veera systems, supports Here With You’s tech needs. He also assists with translating migrants literary written or literary works. He hopes to help build a community where migrant workers feel like they belong. On weekends, you'll probably find him catching a football game or tackling a crossword puzzle.

    Shila Naidu

    Shila Naidu joined the non-profit sector in 2016 following a short 5-year career in the civil service conducting security analysis and research. Her time working with families within and beyond Singapore while at Habitat for Humanity Singapore, inspired her to pursue post-grad studies in counselling. Shile now works as the centre manager of The Greenhouse, a non-profit trauma and addiction recovery centre, and also runs her own private practice. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, and has a special interest in serving vulnerable and marginalised communities, as well as those with experiences of minority stress and stigma.

    She hopes to see the migrant worker community in Singapore validated and valued for the important work they do. Shila is an animal lover and is an advocate for adopting from shelters and community organisations. She has fostered and adopted several community cats, and is a cat-sitter in her spare time.
